This piece fails to point out the vast sums of foreign aid the US gives to Israel each year, far dwarfing this $900 million.

Fairly weak mention of fact US taxpayers will take a $900 million hit thanks to the insane Israeli smashing of Gaza. Israel costs the US, directly and indirectly, scores of billions of dollars per year, but this is not reported in the story. Instead, the foolish US policy of avoiding dealing with Hamas is in effect praised rather than condemned.

The periodic murderous Israeli rampages (Lebanon 2006, Gaza 2008-09) are costing the US scores of billions of dollars and increasing the instability in the Middle East. Soon a warmonger will be PM of Israel.
