Mr. Broder writes what a lot of people think, will Blacks start making inroads in local and state elections now that the glass ceiling is broken? If someone is competent and of good character, color is not and should not be a factor.What they owe their constituents is an honorable days work.

Will Obama's election make it easier for other African-Americans? We'll have to wait and see.
