The Canadian's seem to be weathering the storm a lot better than most countries. With two experts from Canada's universities making the point that while the U.S. were on a spending spree with borrowed money, the Canadians went the conservative way, something I think the Republicans used to crow about.

While the Canadians did have to use a stimulus plan, it is no where in the scope and size of America.

facts and figures are in this story to illustrate the point that , altho effected, canada has fared much better than the u.s. or other major industrial nations during this international economic crisis. i would like to have read more in depth about some of the factors just touched upon, including health care system and cost, and the gov't's ongoing financial surplus.
