Puts Kerry's visit to Gaza into context, with respect to Israeli elections and other issues. Excellent sourcing and fairly deep analysis.

Very solid reporting that uses the Congressional trip to Gaza to discuss the short-term diplomatic possibilities in the region.

This is a straight forward and objective report on a tour of Gaza by three US lawmakers and follow-on travel by John Kerry to Syria. It also provides some well-sourced analysis of the prospects of peace talks between Israel and Syria and between Israel and the Palestinians.

A new Administration, a new policy, just like the old policy. With the Americans doing a "fact-finding tour", with Netanyahu back in power, this is deja/vu, all over again.

If the U.S. wanted elections in Gaza, and got their wish, how can they "not" at least talk to Hamas. While Hamas hates Israel, who is it that feeds and provide health care to the people of Gaza.

Good lord. Kerry visits the American International School destroyed by Israel and says Hamas has to change its policies??? Nissenbaum perhaps noticed the great irony and managed to report it straight up, figuring this version would not upset AIPAC. The linked Real News video discussion is interesting.

Israel has been creating a ghetto in the West Bank and Gaza and have violated any agreement they have made with the Palestinians. Making "peace" with Syria would only seem a tactic to allow further enhance the displacement of Palestinians from all lands that Israel desires for their ethnically Jewish state.

Kerry is visiting Gaza and Syria.

The US should recognize Hamas and encourage the reconstitution of the unity Hamas/Fatah government. Israel should be told to get out of the Golan Heights and accept the Arab peace plan.

A well contexted and fact laiden article. Provides an accurate overview of the situation and Pres. Obama's limited window to be an influence. It also reiterates the likely hopelessness of Peace with Palestine until Hamas is gone. Nice read.

The hapless Senator (from my state} served as but a momentary backdrop to the real story and where some hope may lie which is with Syria. Lets hope Obama can take his cue and get it in gear ASAP.

The setup of article's context was well written, explaining the significance of the Kerry's purpose and the importance of all the instances that it's the "first time since...." Also, this article provides deep insight through various credible sources. Overall, it was interesting and smooth to read.
