I would like to have more details on which banks received bailout money, but I suspect that information is still being kept secret by the Federal Government.

At a Senate Banking Committee hearing last week, Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), the committee chairman, said lenders are “gouging” customers to boost their bottom lines.

It’s maddening when you are forced to pay taxes which are given to banks which gouge you for all they can get out of you. The corporatist ideology of making a profit center out of social problems whether it is health-care, prisons or credit card debt is as immoral as the Mob making a profit center out of drug abuse.
