the news here seemingly implies that pakistan and the u.s. are back to square one regarding the taliban, based upon the inability of the pakistani army to bring taliban militia under control. what's not here is analysis regarding any reason to believe that the taliban won't continue their tactics further into the country to eventually control it all, or whether the gov't's tactic used here has any advantage for the gov't maintaining control of the country.

Give these Islam terrorists an inch and they will that a country. With this well written and sourced report report from people who are there, including Holbrook, this is no more than surrender to the taliban. While theres already been reports of be-headings, the bombing of girls schools, and little girls having acid thrown in their face. This is Islamic law from straight from the Koran. Next stop, Punjab.

If the Pakistan government (if there is one) keeps letting the taliban take portions of Pakistan and give them free reign in border crossings, Obama needs to stand down with deployments until some kind of deal is made or our solder's are just going to sitting ducks.

A clear well written factually balanced look at Pakistan's' abyss. Good context, well sourced, good info on the logistics.

According to ALL reports Osama already lives in Pakistan. Heads up Barrack, decision time is comming. The photo says it all..

The article is detailed clearly and has obvious thorough research through sources. Not only does the article offer multiple sides of the story, but It also presents the significance of each perspective and breaks down what it means to the different groups (Americans, Talibans, Pakistani government, etc.).
