The Emerging Obama Foreign Policy

Clinton’s Asia visit is significant largely because it highlights a piece of the evolving Obama foreign policy — a policy that remains centralized under the president via the NSC, and that uses dedicated special envoys and representatives to focus on key trouble spots (and perhaps to avoid some of the interagency bickering that can limit the agencies’ freedom to maneuver). Most importantly, this policy at its core looks to rebuild the sense and ... Full Story »

I'm not sure if this piece deserves a 2.5, but I can't come up with a higher rating. There's no sourcing, and no new information really. I gave a four for information because of the military analysis, but overall this piece is way too long, and reads like a college essay.

A very well researched an written piece. Saying what Obama is pretty much doing, the author puts together an agenda that go's around the world and puts someone to put the fire out if it erupts in a particular area. If Obama can keep the peace in these different departments, he'll be doing something nobody's been able to do in recent memory.

With Hillary in Japan, the people are wild about Obama, even if the government doesn't.

A well written article that makes the case that the Obama administration will tackle foreign policy through a greater emphasis on diplomacy, collaboration, and attention to more foreign powers, while leaning on the military less. It loses points for the lack of sourcing (this is really more of an opinion piece than a news report), but it is informative in what the article projects.
