Orchard Park businessman charged in beheading of wife

Friends expressed shock on Friday that the founder of a Muslim TV channel — which he launched in order to counter violent images of Muslims — has been arrested in his wife’s brutal slaying.

Detectives have charged Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder after his wife was found beheaded Thursday at the offices of the cable channel, Bridges TV, in the Village of Orchard Park.

Well presented even handed look into a horrifying murder. The irony of those involved is self explanatory. Good strait reporting with context, family reactions and background. The follow ups should be facinating, perhpas we'll learn whether this is a religeon based execution or plain deomestic murder, both gastly.

This reminds me of the murder of Mafia Don Joe Columbo. In the 70's he was executed while giving a speech rebuffing accusations of he and his associates being involved with violence and criminal organizations. Their are cultures of violence in the world. The Mafia and Parts of Fundamentalist Islam are but two.
