Throwing schools out the window

So this is what the Senate seems to be coming down to: keeping bridges and throwing students out the window. The effort to prune the stimulus package to make it more palatable to Republicans is focused on slashing money for education.

This is a well reasoned and written opinion piece providing the rationale for including support of education in the stimulus legislation. It should be persuasive to those on the fence but is unlikely to move those who disagree on principle or for political gain.
