Houston's first all-girls public school to open this summer

Andres Flores, 13, explains with certainty why he prefers attending an all-boys’ school.

“Boys and girls fall in love. While this is all happening, the boys get off task,” he admitted.

The story merely covers the story of a school and it's desire and challenge to attract students. It does not, however, address the theories behind single-gender education, the scientific basis for the theories or some indication as to the success of the single-gender schools that are in operation. Being a teacher in a single-gender school in So. Florida - one which has been open for three years - I find that this article does not have much to offer on the topic.
