Interview with a close observer of the Israel/Palestine problem who thinks Obama will be unwilling to push hard for a resolution of the chronic bleeding ulcer. Miller is too kind to Israel in his assessment of the situation, in my view.

Obama is well aware a viable solution to the Israel/Palestine problem is on the table. Obtaining a unity government (Fatah/Hamas) would be much easier if it were not for the sutpidity of the US in not dealing with Hamas (thanks to Israel lobby and Aipac/Israeli militarists in particular). Will Israel damage the US even more severely, in its insane effort to keep the Palestinians corralled in giant open-air prison camps?
