A human interest type story that's doesn't get into the policy or larger socio-political implications for the growth in library use.

Another sad story , another sad day. While my heart breaks for Ms Gowans, there's women and children dying and the U.S. isn't doing a fucking thing, I hope things slow down for you. (did I just say that)

Ms. Gowan, take a day off, rent you a good movie (an old one) lay down on the couch and chill out. It sounds like you've had a day like mine!!

A very broad human interest story. While I am pleased to hear that libraries are experiencing a wave of traffic it is yet another reminder that we are in an economic crisis. While the topic was touched on, I would have liked to have read about what exactly these new libtary goers are doing in the library. Job searches? Story time for the kids? What is currently the most popular ?

The topic has great potential.I love Human interest peices, but for some reason this article didn't command my attention.

Libraries are sometimes overlooked as part of our educational system, but they are especially important because they serve people even when they are not enrolled in a classroom.
