It is relevant when considering the many Iraq war veterans who are coming back with post-traumatic stress disorder. However, this topic is still in the process of being proven. Unfortunately, this article only sites a few experts when it needs to have many. Also, as a reader and an American citizen who is experiencing this historic economic recession with the rest of our nation, it troubles me that the army is spending $300,000 to study the impact of pairing psychiatric service dogs with soldiers who are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with post-traumatic stress disorder. Is this where our money should be going right now? Especially during this economic recession?
