This report provides insight into both local and national implications of the negotiations at hand in Washington D.C. between reformer Michelle Rhee and AFT Union President Randi Weingarten. This appears to be one of the areas Obama may have been talking about when he said that change isn't going to be easy, and will require sacrifice from everyone. Perhaps this is one of the first major tests of the potential for real change in a system obviously in need.
