a timely story which can result in uneasiness about the latest event described here. it would seem positive that there is a new mediated agreement between mugabe and tsvangirai, in spite of the increased violence against the opposition. the not so positive is described here as mugabe's "long history of absorbing his enemies into his party after a campaign of intimidation and violence". in spite of that, south africa apparently put much pressure on tsvangirai to agree to a small degree of power-sharing the mugabe was willing to give.
