More a brief-but-profound idea than an analytical piece, Yglesias makes a succinct-but-persuasive argument to side-track the obstructive (dis-)loyal opposition's leadership and pursue constructive collaboration with Rep. John Mica for his idea of high-speed rail corridors around the country, solving infrastructure, employment, and transportation issues.

This idea sounds so good on so many levels. We desperately need all three of the benefits of Mica's plan. And, we desperately need to show the Rush-ites to the back door, and boot 'em squarely out it.
