Calling the hardship department

I have morphed into what realtors call a “motivated seller.” My furniture fantasies have disappeared. I now daydream about a high-paying, full-time job with benefits and eating something besides pasta for dinner. I am in the worst financial shape of my life. This is an interesting personal interest story. It lacks details but is well written.

The writer states that she caused her problems. That is likely partially true, but banks, credit cards and other companies encouraged her.

One woman facing hard times financially, tells her story about finally getting her credit card company to reduce her interest rate. But there's more to this story than a 0% interest rate -- its a reminder about how opaque the financial system is, and how what people think are policies set in stone aren't, necessarily.
