The Elections: How Bad for Democrats?

It is generally assumed in Washington these days that in the November 2 elections the party will lose control of the House of Representatives, and possibly the Senate (although this is less likely). If the Republicans take control of one or both chambers, they and conservative commentators will proclaim that the voters have rejected “socialism” and will begin planting in earnest the idea that Barack Obama will be a one-term president. Why can't the American people realize that their woes are due to the corporatocracy that has moved manufacturing out of America, leaving America pushing papers from place to place while giving themselves big bonuses for doing the same to the American public that they have been doing to third world countries for years (get them into debt and then foreclose). Obama has fulfilled just about all of his election promises. His only chance of winning the next battle which is against big oil and big coal is if the American people get behind him and force the congress and senate to support him. (small c, small s) What do you expect though from a population that thinks Fox News actually gives you the news and that the world was created 5000 years ago by a chap in a nighty.
