this is not quality journalism by any means. it is a rant. its only justification is that it's an obvious expression of frustration/anger about feeling total lack of control over so much of what happens within our daily lives; a feeling which many feel but do not or can not express directly themselves.

this can be offensive to many. is that because we disagree with what makes the writer angry, or because he so blatantly calls names, or puts down religion? or is it because we have become a country which has so accepted all our failings that we now want simply to 'be nice', 'not rock the boat', not to 'offend anyone', and have just given up real protest?
