An excellent summary of Bush's imperial presidency the media helped create using the nation's terror about the 9/11 as the basis. The media not only abetted, but in large measure, fashioned Republican neo fascism, becoming efficient propaganda machines in the finest tradition of Goebbels and Stalin. The horror is that the media still have a major political agenda not in keeping with the traditional doctrines of journalism.

Like the Free-Market-Follies myth, out-of-control centralized media also become corrupt and irresponsible. But media can be made responsible–including some of the reckless, unscrupulous cable and radio channels–by reinstating the proper authority of the FCC, and restoring the concept that the airwaves really do belong to the people. Breaking up centralized media ownership will also go a long way to bring back responsibility.
