Like the Free-Market-Follies myth, out-of-control centralized media also become corrupt and irresponsible. But media can be made responsible–including some of the reckless, unscrupulous cable and radio channels–by reinstating the proper authority of the FCC, and restoring the concept that the airwaves really do belong to the people. Breaking up centralized media ownership will also go a long way to bring back responsibility.
