Picking Up the Pieces

What a difference a day makes.

Yesterday's inauguration of President Obama represented an epochal shift for this country, from a conservative leader to a liberal, from one generation to another, from a child of privilege to someone entirely self-made, and ever so poignantly, from a white man to a black man.

Dan Froomkin shifts the focus of his White House Watch column to the Obama Administration, and provides insightful excerpts on this historic event from a variety of perspectives, which help put it in context and reach a deeper understanding of its significance.

With an army of opinions from coast to coast, Mr. Froomkin writes an excellent article on the last of Bush, and the first of Obama. I don't think Bush should have expected any less from Obama's speech. After all, he didn't have a lot to work with.

The crazy-ass right-wing bloggers have already started the conspiracy theories. Did you know, after two swearing in's, Obama is still not the President. wacko's.
