Inspiring speech by Barack Obama, leading by example on his first day as U.S. President. His comments, are factual, fair and deeply insightful, as confirmed by the enthusiastic public reaction from around the world.

While this does not quite fit the definition of journalism, I felt it was important to include this speech transcript in our opinion section, because so many stories on our site refer to it. We are very lucky to have such an exceptional leader with such a clear message, at a time when we need thoughtful guidance more than ever before in recent history.
