This is a needlessly antagonistic story. It didn't take much effort to research and write this, yet it gets masqueraded as muckraking journalism. Factual, but pretty inconsequential.

I dislike obviously biased stories, and this one is biased with a capital "B"--typical of network "news". It discusses costs for Obama's inauguration, comparing them to costs for Clinton's, with the subtle message that much of Obama's is being paid with bailout money. Missing is a comparison to Bush's inauguration, which cost over $137 million and was also paid for by both government money and special interest donations--the usual inauguration practice.

It's past time this kind of journalism ended. Business as usual as has been practiced for the past eight years is what got us into our present messes. We must start working together, because business as usual won't do anything but make matters worse.
