Go your own way

You, Barack Hussein Obama, are our last chance, and if that too fades - and evil is determined against us, all hope is lost.
We are the prisoner who is stuck in a cell; without the help of others, we will never succeed in extricating ourselves from the bonds of our natural fear and the historical accounting. And there are no "others" except for America, for which no substitute has been found, even in its time of weakness. Full Story »

Sarid presents his view of the situation and the conflict in an interesting style. He voices his request that Obama will rise above the American recent policy past and above the right wing Israeli lobby, and walk his own path.

Eloquent, passionate plea to President-Elect Obama to take a new approach to peace between Israel and Palestine. All the more valuable and vital because the author is an Israeli Jew who opposes the actions of his own government "leaders".

When presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke to AIPAC, America's leading pro-Israel lobby, he vowed to take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of Israel. The tone is disrespectful and cavalier, but the substance is solid. The truth is the 43rd president has been inefectual from the beginning. He appears as Nazi-lite despite the aura of Alfred E. Newman cluelessness. The ground-shift feeling is the transition to the constitutional government from the government of clueless fitat.

i am so encouraged by the new administration, but I am afraid that the enthusiasm might turn into resentment when the economy continues to fail.

Many Jewish intellectuals think Israel is ultimately going to fail if it does not end the occupation of the West Bank and the Golan Heights, and make peace with the Palestinians and Syrians. There are now more than 120 illegal colonies of Jewish fanatics and opportunist property buyers in the West Bank. These Jews will have to leave the West Bank or accept Palestinian sovereignty, and the insane effort by Zionists (and Israeli militarists) to create more "facts on the ground" is ... More »
