Insightful news analysis on protests from around the world against Israeli attacks on Gaza. The author points to the increasing gap between Arab regimes and their people. The author's own viewpoint favoring Palestinian interests is quite apparent in this piece, but he provides a variety of other perspectives that are typically under-reported by the mainstream media. Whether or not we agree with these perspectives, they provide useful context to help us make sense of this complex conflict.

Meanwhile, the sentiment of the Arab populous was captured in this widely circulated photo over the internet which shows a demonstrator carrying the Palestinian flag with a message written on it in Arabic. It reads, “Your Royal Highnesses and Your Excellencies—(we) Spit (on you)!”
