Informative report about the possibility of a cease-fire between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza. This article provides a factual update on the status of the talks brokered by Egypt, particularly about recent events in Washington, where departing Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice offered technical assistance from the United States. But there is very little information about the Hamas side of the story, particularly from leaders in Gaza. Good context on how this conflict is perceived by other Arab nations gathering in Quatar, and the possible margninalization of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, who are leading the effort towards a cease-fire with Israel, with the support of the United States.
