Israel shells hospital, UN compound

Officials said that a building of the UN relief agency in Gaza had been hit by Israeli shells and set ablaze.

"They are phosphorus fires so they are extremely difficult to put out because if you put water on it, it will just generate toxic fumes and do nothing to stop the burning," John Ging, the director of UN relief operations, said.

The attack on the UN compound in Gaza is reported. The details were still unfolding.

The Israeli actions seem to show they are shelling and destroying and preventing humanitarian aid rather than opening supply lines. The attacks on the UN would seem to show their utter disdain for international law and humanitarian principles.

I recommend this story not from reading this article, but from the T.V. scene's that were shown. Also , when the Prime Minister is seen apologizing to the U.N., it's damn true.

The hospital was not hit. A building was a ware house and it is not clear there was a UN compound where the warehouse is.
