This is one of the least trustworthy stories I've come across in a long time. I honestly didn't think the mass media had it in them anymore. But sure enough, right out of the Bush era playbook, here's a story that takes classified intelligence, one anonymous captured informant, and an empty bomb threat in France and turns it into a looming international terrorist conspiracy "blessed by Osama bin Laden," although "that claim has not YET been validated." The video is a very weak, exploitative, un-journalistic scare piece. It goes so far beyond the scope of today's real story into Muslim prayer sounds, speculation, and casual misuse of the word "jihad" (or "JEE-hod," in a Midwestern TV journalist accent).

The captured German claimed that the attack had been personally blessed by Osama bin Laden, a claim that has not yet been validated.

No kidding.
