The article quotes Israel's foreign minister as saying the only language Hamas understands is force. The same could be said for Israel itself.

The insane Israeli smashing of Lebanon was a defeat for Israel, and this current murderous campaign looks like another strategic defeat in the making. Israel cannot kill enough Palestinians for force them to accept the colonies of fanatical Jews littered all over the West Bank.
