Incisive and lucid analysis about increasingly pro-business attitudes of legislators. I found this statement particularly insightful: "What's good for the US is more and more often translated into what's good for powerful friends." In today's America, you can't get anywhere in politics without "powerful friends" to pay for your campaign - as long as you return the favor. If campaign reform succeeds, it might reduce that concerning trend.
