Not sure what to make of this report, which quotes Brooke Anderson, the chief national security spokesperson of the Obama transition team, as saying that the Obama Administration will continue to treat Hamas as a terrorist organization until "they recognize Israel, renounce violence, and abide by past agreements." Too little context and too few sources are provided in this breaking news report for us to verify its authenticity and the intent of the new Obama administration.

Interesting report based on questionable and conflicting information.

I will believe information about President Obama's position when he IS President Obama. And between now and then, I will advocate for the need to 'deal with Hamas' because, like it or not, Hamas IS the elected governing authority in Gaza. Hamas long ago agreed to coexist with Israel, and it is incumbent upon the new administration to seek current information and base their policies on 21st Century facts.
