In this obviously partisan opinion piece defending George Bush, Joan Swirsky sometimes writes beyond her evidence--however far less so than many Bush-hating leftist writers who assume that only their view of reality has merit. At least Ms. Swirsky relies on facts to make her case--the fact of our safety these past 7+ years being a prime example. And she rightly credits Bush with giving 50,000,000 (count the zeros, please) citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan their first opportunity to participate in free elections.
