Democracy 'at heart' of Bush legacy

As George Bush's presidency limps to its end, many opinion polls rate him as the most unpopular president of all time. But how will history judge him? The 11 minute audio is an interesting attempt at spin. If you did not know the interviewer knew the facts and the interviewee was trying to lie, the interview could be confusing.

I do believe the Brits remember what the press is supposed to be about.

Excellent look at different perspectives on the Bush administration through nsightful questions by BBC interviewer, and mind-boggling artful dodging replies by US Ambassador Tuttle.

This is a classic exercise in propaganda vs. the "reality-based world," and would make a valuable cast study for public relations professionals and journalism grad students. The PR folk (of which I am one) will marvel at Tuttle's ability to hold the party line. Journalists will enjoy the interviewer's calm and straightforward questions and challenges to the propaganda delivered by Tuttle. Listeners will wonder if interviewer and interviewee are actually talking about the same issues.

Th BBC asks some very hard questions of American Ambassador to Britain Robert Tuttle. Pushes him in challenging yet respectful way I don't see in U.S. media.
