The sheer variety of world opinion is potentially very informative, but it is basically a unaggregated blog of the whole gamut of geniuses and imbeciles that requires a lot of panning to find the flecks and nuggets of gold. This is good source material for views, not good readily digestible journalistic perspective.

Provocative question posed in Al Jazeera's "Your Views" on December 24, as an online public discussion. Intriguing forum with clearly posted rules of conduct for respectful discussion. The 232 replies posted so far give an interesting view of the Bush presidency and US foreign policy as seen by citizens from around the world.

Eye-opening reading for those who want to know what people around the world are thinking about the USA. Also offers a look at the ways several Americans respond to unfavorable opinions through continuing dialogues between a few particularly vocal contributors.
