Outstanding compedium of comments and observations of those close to the decision-making in the White House, especially regarding Iraq. George W. Bush comes across as arrogant and ignorant to an extent that boggles the mind. Bush said it would be unlikely that civil war would erupt in the wake of the removal of Saddam Hussein. Dick Cheney threatened the arms inspectors who voiced doubts about Iraq having any WMD. In fact, Cheney already knew Iraq had no WMD, but this fact does not come out clearly in this piece.

Bush seems to have been the dupe of the neocons and the other warmongers, particularly those surrounding Dick Cheney. Bush's incompetence truly is astounding.
