The author brings an abundance of reason's for and against statehood. Why Washington D.C. isn't represented is an injustice to the citizens who pay taxes but have no vote. Didn't we fight a war for that?

If the voting Rights Act isn't passed, wait a few years until a few of the older conservatives on the Supreme Court quit or die. Then it should be a "Slam Dunk"
