Will Al Franken or Norm Coleman be able to claim to be "the people's choice"?

There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents states from adopting voting systems that would do a better job of meeting democratic criteria. This appears to be a one answer commentary. OK, if 58 per cent of the voters voted for another candidate than the winner, perhaps the issue is the quality of the main candidates.
