Quite a shocking story. Poor historical description of the island. Fails to describe what will happen now that the archipelago is a Ntional Monument. Includes pictures. Single source.

Another saddening case study of environment pollution. One more time, nature reminds us that throwing the garbage out of our personal homes doesn't mean we got rid of it. We were just being lazy, hiding it under the carpet. If a personal opinion would be allowed to me, I'd say that perhaps the political decision makers, the "great shapers" of this world -- like President Bush, who was so far concerned only with economic growth at all costs --, should all be taken to sights like these until they throw up and get really sick, realizing on their own that they got to do something.
