In his Nov. 24 Op-Ed article, " Depression-era projects, again," Bill Boyarsky outlines some good reasons for Los Angeles residents to support President-elect Barack Obama's plan to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on infrastructure projects. There are several issues that this piece doesn't address. Will workers need new training to develop these green alternative projects? How much more do they cost than traditional infrastructure solutions?
