From talking with WWII veterans, Korean War Vets, my own fellowof Viet Vets, we all worked closely with people we knew to be gay. The change to Don't ask Don't tell was BS. Today in spite of laws against it women are serving in frontline combat positions, so any of the "gender/protection/uncomfortable arguements are totaly groundless. Mr. Welna brings up a subject that is so insignificant with all that's going on it's ridiculous.

Two scenario's: one: A terrorist knows where a nuclear suitcase is hidden, do you torture him to get it? two: A gay linguist specializing in Arabic hears there's a man with a nuclear suitcase in the area, but at the same time tells you he's gay. Do you discharge him from the military before he tells you?You decide?

This is advocacy. They realize that Obama is not eager to step on the gays in the military 3rd rail. He would be foolish to change what is working and cause a lot of trouble for himself. The gay activists will never be happy no matter what he does.
