the topic here is important, but the story is disappointing. in addition to lack of depth, implying a possible issue of policy disagreement wit h the president without more information or more than one other source besides holbrooke's own words, seems unethical.

i have had great respect for mr. holbrooke's analyses on many foreign policy issues and wish this piece had more depth and information.
