Boeing, partner plan space taxi for tourists by 2016

I was surprised to find that this is actually a pretty in-depth update about the status of private space flight, as well as its close relationship to government programs. Contains some perspectives that are critical of the business model, specifically its dependence on government subsidies.

As I read the title of the article, I was expecting some exciting news, something everyone could participate in, but I was wrong. The article was, in my opinion, aimed towards the wealthy, although with such progress it is reassuring that science and technology have started to reach a level of space travel for consumers. There could have been a little more detail on the companies personal involvement on the "space taxi" campaign but after reading there have already been space travelers, this is exciting news.
