Where are the Women? (Niche media makes up for mainstream)

Women’s issues coverage has never been the best, but it’s getting worse as reporters are forced to cover more topics and papers attempt to serve larger regions, broadening their aim and sometimes dulling their investigative instincts.

In this atmosphere, women and men alike are resorting to the Internet to find the coverage they need. And niche news services now have the platform and the audience to provide that product. Full Story »

A good piece though it starts out rather jumbled and almost lost me

Since the failure of the ERA, 12 years of Reagan Bush, and most recently 8 years of Bush Jr, women's issues have fallen on hard times, subjegated to the back of the bus for "more important" issues. I look forward to a new administration that may allow women's issues to be discussed after all, all our mothers are women.
