Nothing in politics is not planned. Palin's csrefully scripted appearance in front of the turkey slaughter was guarrantteed to get her national exposure, and every dribble of information that comes out puts her where she wants to be. Her minions will cry foul and her opponents say I told you so, but in the end there is little "bad" publicity unless you are gov of Illinois.
