The article isolates on Obama statements regarding the war and occupation of Iraq and parses them carefully, especially in view of current statements and cabinet appointments.

Anhti-war progressives went into pause in order to support Obama against the arguably worse pro-war stance of McCain, but strong bottom-up democracy appears necessary if the people are going to change the mindset that keeps us in these colonial occupations of foreign countries, generating terrorists faster than we can bomb their wedding parties.
