Indian foreign minister denies "threatening call" to Pakistani leader

The Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement Sunday morning officially denying that its minister, Pranab Mukherjee, had made a "threatening call" to President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan at the height of the recent attacks on Mumbai, prompting Zardari's government to put the Pakistani Air Force on high alert.

Maybe that this will lead to a hot line like the Washington/Moscow line that was estsablished after the Cuban missile crisis. Now that each side realizes the potential for full scale war over a single "action", hopefully they will find a way to avoid farther armed conflict.
