This was a fascinating, educational read that expounds about both the class divide and the faulty nature of Indian government, through the lens of a flowering of civic activism on the part of elites.

The reporter weaves a tapestry out of describing many recently politicized groups; the article's vulnerable tone parallels the uncertainty India's long-protected upper middle classes are now experiencing after the Mumbai attacks. Very thorough sourcing, with outbound links to a variety of primary-sources Web sites. A complex portrait, done well despite the shortness of the article.
