This is a reasonably well written article about the current round of climate change talks. In the last paragraph considers only one program. That is a problem with this article and the talks. We must look at this subject more broadly and openly.

I liker the quote by International Emissions Trading Association head Henry Derwent's quote about a waiting bridegroom, as well as depiction of a possible ramification of Pres. elect Obama's proposals on developing nations.

After Bush's poo-poohing of Kyoto, Obama will be--in every sense of the word--a badly-needed breath of fresh air!

A sense of unreality pervades this article. This is all imaginary stuff and all about getting money for scientists and for developing countries. Just as the Europeans won't meet their Kyoto goals neither will anyone meet any goals of this supposed new treaty if it actually comes about.

The US Senate voted against Kyoto 95-0. The vote won't be much different on the next one unless is even more fake than Kyoto.
