This writer takes as fact that "the technology is available" to mean that it can also be manufactured commercial scales relevant to USA, North America of world sized energy systems. As a leading expert in Zero Carbon energy generation, Gigawatt Solar Manufacturing facilities, Space Based Solar Power and United Nations SIDS New Sustainable Technologies Committee Member I can state this is not now nor has ever been the case. By 2100 all forms of alternative energy AND fossil fuels combined will fall short of the needed worldwide energy production by a whopping 66%!!! The only real power source that provides all energy on Earth is the sun. It grew the plants that made the fossil fuels, it causes the winds and tides, and the mechanisms of the sun drives any and all energy generation systems known to man. The only feasible solution to the energy crisis is Combined Terrestrial and Space Based Solar Power.
