Excellent--if unwitting--distillation of the problem that arises when we view Earth as though the economy and the environment were separable.

In reality--in terms of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the very land we stand on--we're all on the surface of one smallish ball. At some point--sooner rather than later--we must shift our perspective and view both as important parts of one whole planet. While Poland may be, as the headline suggests, pursuing opposing objectives, the USA must take substantial responsibility for screwing things up completely for the last eight years.
